Skills & Attributes We Are Looking For
Strong numerical and problem-solving skills, including confidence with geometry, volumes, and weight calculations.




The ability to read technical drawings, or the aptitude and willingness to learn quickly.
Intermediate Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and formulas.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive attitude and genuine curiosity to understand how products are manufactured.
Someone who enjoys finding practical solutions and delivering outcomes where others may struggle.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret 2D and 3D engineering and architectural drawings to determine project requirements.
Prepare accurate material take-offs, including steel weights, quantities, and surface areas.
Learn and use nesting software to maximise material utilisation and reduce waste.
Prepare accurate and competitive quotations using Excel and our ERP system.
Work closely with senior estimators, production staff, and workshop supervisors to understand manufacturing processes, production times, and project requirements.
Build strong relationships with customers by providing responsive and professional service.
