About The Role
The Support Worker - Catering will ensure a supportive environment where residents are encouraged to express their food preferences and choice, whilst ensuring that food is nutritious and prepared in alignment with appropriate standards.
Catering support workers will do all that they can to support cultural, religious and dietary preferences in preparation and food service to ensure that resident satisfaction is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/CookPrepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or CookEnsure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanlinessEnsuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the National Food Safety Program at all times including completing food safety records and the prevention of cross contamination
About You




Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbalDemonstrated ability to prioritise workloadsCommitment to continuous quality improvementWorking knowledge of WH&S; and Infection ControlAbility to operate standard domestic and industrial equipmentDemonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety desirableFood Handling Certificate Desirable
