About us
We are an established nursery-farm and horticultural production business based in Virginia, South Australia, growing and supplying nursery plants.
We are seeking a Cold Store Manager to manage cold-storage operations.
Remuneration & hours
Salary package:from $71,550 per annum plus superannuation(paid in accordance with the applicable Award; commensurate with skills and experience)
Full time, ongoing position
Hours: 38 ordinary hours per week, averaged over a 4-week cycle (152 hours per 4 weeks), plus guaranteed overtime of approximately 8 hours per week (paid at overtime rates) — around 46 hours per week in total.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
Manage day-to-day cold storage and coolroom operations
Monitor and control temperature, humidity and storage conditions to preserve produce
Oversee intake, stock rotation,



storage and dispatch of produce
Maintain cold-chain, storage and food-safety records and compliance
Coordinate and supervise cold-store staff and workflow
Arrange maintenance and calibration of refrigeration and handling equipment
Ensure WHS, hygiene and biosecurity standards are met
Skill & Experience
About you
A relevant AQF Diploma (or equivalent), or at least 3 years' experience as a Cold Store / Cold Storage Manager
Knowledge of cold-chain, storage and food-safety practices
Organisational and team-supervision skills
Able to work across a range of conditions
Reliable and safety-focused
