FEMALE SUPPORT WORKER / PERSONAL ASSISTANT
My Place is assisting a NDIS participant and her family to recruit female support workers.
Successful applicants will be employed directly by the participant and her family.
Location:Kalamunda, WA
About the Role
Join a small, family-led support team providing one-on-one support to a vibrant, sociable and outgoing young woman living with Autism.
Hours Available:
Weekdays – flexible hours available
Opportunities for 12-hour support periods (overnight)
About the Person You'll Support
You will be supporting an outgoing young woman who enjoys:
AFL – Go The Dockers!
Horse Riding – basically all things horses
Animals – particularly her pet dog
Karaoke and dancing
Having a laugh
What You'll Do:
Support community participation and social activities
Assist with daily living activities and personal goals
Prompting and supervision with daily tasks
Work collaboratively with family and the support team
Willing to assist with household domestic cleaning, tidying and running errands
About You
You are:
Positive, reliable and patient
Comfortable working independently
A strong communicator
Committed to person-centred support
Looking for long-term work
Enjoys AFL
Likes animals
Most importantly, you understand that great support work is built on relationships.
We are looking for people who want to invest in a long-term connection, not simply fill shifts.
This position is best suited to applicants seeking long-term employment and will not be suitable for those looking for temporary, transitional or short-term work.
Requirements
Female applicants only.
This position involves personal care and intimate support and is exempt under the WA Equal Chance Act as a genuine occupational requirement.
The person you'll support relies on spoken English to understand instructions, follow conversations, and stay secure day to day, so clear and fluent spoken English is an essential requirement of this role
Experience with Behaviour Support
Current WA Driver's Licence
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (essential)
Full Australian working rights
