About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Projects and Sustainability, the Project Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects across the organisation.
The role provides project coordination, administration, procurement support, records management and stakeholder liaison services to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes and track follow-up actions.
Manage and maintain project documentation, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams environments.
Support project managers through effective administration and information management.
Liaise with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to facilitate communication and project delivery.
Obtain quotes, raise purchase orders and assist with procurement processes.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organisational records management requirements.
Contribute positively to team culture and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide general administrative support to the Projects and Sustainability team as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have -
Essential Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Project Support Officer, Project Administrator, or similar Administration role.
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience managing documentation and records accurately.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Initiative, adaptability and a solution-focused approach.
Desirable Experience
Understanding of project management principles and processes.
Experience with project management software.
Knowledge of Local Government operations and practices
