Sales & Design Consultant
Design-led landscaping projects | Strong inbound pipeline | Company vehicle | Perth-based
Are you a confident sales professional who enjoys helping clients bring high-quality projects to life?
We are a well-established, design-led landscaping business delivering premium residential projects across Perth.
Our reputation has been built on thoughtful design, professional communication, quality workmanship, and delivering projects properly.
With a strong and growing pipeline of inbound, repeat, and referral work, we are looking for an experiencedSales & Design Consultantto take ownership of the client journey from initial enquiry through to signed contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable business, work with quality clients, and play an important role in shaping projects before they move into construction.
The Opportunity
This is a client-facing sales and estimating position with genuine ownership of the front-end process.
You will work with homeowners to understand their vision, define the project scope, prepare professional proposals, and guide them confidently through the decision-making process.
Rather than chasing cold leads or relying on high-pressure sales tactics, you will be working with engaged clients who have actively enquired about our services.
You will be supported by established systems, an experienced design and construction team, and a strong pipeline of opportunities.
At the same time, you will be trusted to manage your own client relationships, sales pipeline, follow-ups, and results.
Our projects typically range from mid-value landscaping upgrades through to substantial, high-end residential landscape transformations.
What You'll Be Doing
You will take ownership of the client journey from initial enquiry through to contract, including:
Managing qualified inbound enquiries through our CRM
Speaking with prospective clients and assessing project suitability
Conducting on-site consultations to understand the client's goals, budget, scope, and requirements
Helping clients understand their options and make confident project decisions
Preparing accurate estimates, detailed quotes, and professional proposals
Following up consistently and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline
Negotiating and finalising project agreements
Maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the sales process
Acting as the commercial link between the client, design team, and construction team
Ensuring each project is clearly documented, commercially viable, and ready for a smooth handover
Contributing ideas to improve sales systems, estimating processes, and the overall client experience
About You
This is not a junior sales position.
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, confident with clients, highly organised, and comfortable taking ownership of significant outcomes.
You may come from landscaping, construction, building, estimating, design, property, or another consultative sales environment.
You are likely to succeed in this role if you:
Have experience in sales, estimating, construction, landscaping, building, or a related industry
Are confident speaking with clients about high-value projects and important decisions
Can build trust quickly and communicate clearly with homeowners, builders, developers, and internal teams
Understand the importance of scope, margins, accurate pricing, and commercial outcomes
Are organised, reliable, and disciplined with follow-up
Take pride in producing accurate, professional work
Can manage multiple opportunities without losing attention to detail
Are comfortable working with CRM systems, quoting software, and structured processes
Take ownership of your results and follow through on commitments
Value quality, honesty, reputation, and long-term client relationships
Previous experience estimating or quoting landscaping, construction, building, pools, outdoor living, or trade-based projects will be highly regarded.
However, we are also open to candidates with strong consultative sales experience who are practical, commercially sharp, systems-oriented, and willing to learn the technical side of the role.
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a high-volume call centre role, and it is not about pressuring clients into making quick decisions.
Success in this position comes from listening carefully, asking the right questions, defining the project clearly, presenting value professionally, and creating confidence throughout the sales process.
You will have the opportunity to work on visually impressive projects, develop meaningful client relationships, and see the work you sell move through design and into construction.
This role will suit someone who wants autonomy, accountability, and the opportunity to become an important part of a growing business.
What We Offer
Competitive base salary aligned with experience
Attractive performance incentives
Fully maintained company vehicle
Company phone and laptop
Strong pipeline of qualified inbound enquiries
No cold calling
The opportunity to work on premium landscaping projects
Established systems and professional sales processes
Support from an experienced design and construction team
A stable and reputable business with a strong market presence
Genuine autonomy and ownership of your role
Long-term career growth and development opportunities
How to Apply
Please apply with your resume.
Your experience may not match every requirement listed above.
However, if you are commercially minded, confident with clients, motivated by results, and believe you could add value to our team, we encourage you to apply.
