About the role
You will be working as part of a team for our client to support them to meet their NDIS goals, which may include a wide range of tasks, including:
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal care, and household tasks.
Transport to social outings and medical appointments
Assistance with medication
Providing person-centred care that respects individual choices
Upholding confidentiality, diversity awareness, and high professional standards.
You will be available to work over a 24 hour, 7 day rotating roster, including weekday, weekend and overnight shifts.
Shifts will vary depending on client, however willingness to work the below shifts is important
2 hour shift
4-8 hour shifts
Passive overnight shifts
You will also require a willingness to be trained in the following tasks, all trainings will be provided by our registered nurses:
Catheter care
Stoma care
PEG Feeding
Blood Glucose Level (BGL) monitoring
What you will need
Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support or similar community services qualification
Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
Manual Handling Certificate
Medication Administration Certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Reliable car and a full South Australian driver's licence with willingness to transport participants in your vehicle.
A willingness to be trained in new skills to upskill you in your role.
You are reliable and trustworthy - our clients will expect the best from you
You are fluent in English language and have good written and verbal communication skills
