Job Description
SHELFORD CONSTRUCTIONS PTY LTD About the Role We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in East Rockingham, Western Australia.
The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining software applications that support the company's construction and business operations.
The position involves developing innovative software solutions, enhancing existing applications and working closely with internal stakeholders to improve business processes through technology.
Benefits Salary plus superannuation Task & responsibilities Key Duties and Responsibilities Analyse user requirements and business processes to determine software specifications and system requirements.
Design, develop, test and implement software applications and business systems.
Develop and maintain web-based applications using modern software development frameworks.
Modify, enhance and support existing software applications.
Migrate legacy Microsoft Access applications to modern web-based platforms.
Integrate software applications with third-party proprietary systems and business platforms.
Develop database structures and optimise application performance.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, software specifications and user procedures.
Troubleshoot software issues and provide ongoing maintenance and technical support.




Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements and automation.
Participate in software testing, deployment and continuous improvement activities.
Ensure software solutions comply with organisational standards, security requirements and industry best practice.
Qualification & experience Skills and Experience Relevant qualifications and experience aligned with ANZSCO ****** Carpenter .
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of relevant on-the-job training; or AQF Certificate IV in Carpentry or a closely related trade discipline.
At least three (3) years of relevant industry experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
Demonstrated experience in residential, commercial or industrial carpentry.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
Sound knowledge of construction methods, building materials and safe work practices.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Selection Criteria: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of two (2) years' full-time experience in a Software Engineer or closely related role.
Demonstrated ability to design, develop,



test and maintain enterprise software applications.
Experience working with modern software development technologies and frameworks.
Ability to analyse complex business requirements and develop practical software solutions.
Strong documentation, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment while managing competing priorities.
Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality software development practices.
