About the Business
Our Disability and Specialised Services (DaSS) Division delivers essential support to South Australians through high-quality NDIS services, sector reform, inclusion-focused policy.
We provide direct disability supports through Supported Independent Living, and specialised care through our Disability, Clinical and Quality Services, as well as Aged Care Projects.
Our work is strengthened by Corporate and Engagement teams, ensuring strong governance, collaboration and positive outcomes for people we support.
Role Details
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Compliance Officer to join DHS Disability Services.
Reporting to the Senior Compliance Officer, this role is central to ensuring secure, compliant, and best practice use of restrictive practices across our services.
As a Compliance Officer, you will undertake the role of an Authorised Program Officer (APO) under the South Australian Restrictive Practices Authorisation Scheme.
In this role, you will:




exercise delegated authority to authorise Level 1 restrictive practices and support Level 2 authorisations by providing recommendations to Senior Authorising Officers (SAO)
monitor, analyse, and report on restrictive practice authorisations to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
Maintain accurate records and ensure high-quality data entry within the Restrictive Practices System (RPS)
provide expert advice, guidance, and training to staff on the application of the Restrictive Practices Authorisation Scheme.
Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability, embedding best practice principles across Disability Services.

Screening Checks
