We are pleased to offer an opportunity for the right candidate to join our Port Douglas team as a Maintenance Scheduler.
We are looking for self-motivated, reliable and passionate candidates with the ability to handle a diverse, fast-paced workload.
You will work closely with the management and operations teams to ensure the smooth delivery of all aspects of our fish production operations.
We are seeking an experienced and hands on Maintenance Scheduler to oversee maintenance operations across our Port Douglas Queensland site.
Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, this is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency and performance of our assets and infrastructure.
The successful candidate will lead maintenance planning activities, manage procurement of maintenance parts and equipment, coordinate external contractors and support site teams to minimize downtime and maximize operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs across the site.
Coordinate maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Lead maintenance planning and prioritisation of works based on business needs and risk.
Manage procurement and inventory of maintenance parts, consumables and critical spares.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure value for money and quality service delivery.
Coordinate and oversee contractors undertaking maintenance and project works.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation.
Work collaboratively with operational teams to identify improvement opportunities and drive asset reliability.
About You
Demonstrated experience in a maintenance leadership or planning role.
Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and asset management principles.
Experience managing procurement, inventory and supplier relationships.
Proven ability to coordinate contractors and multiple work streams.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
A practical and solutions focused approach.
Experience in aquaculture, agriculture, food production, manufacturing or other industrial environments will be highly regarded but not essential.
