THE ROLE
The Warehouse Floor Lead oversees Baby Give Back's day-to-day warehouse operations, leading the Warehouse Team Members and ensuring the floor runs safely, smoothly and in line with the priorities communicated by the Impact team.
This role provides direct oversight of stock flow, volunteer experience on the floor and the coordination of all group volunteer programs.
It contributes actively to identifying continuous improvement opportunities of warehouse systems and processes.
The Warehouse Floor Lead is the constant on the floor – the person who makes sure volunteers have everything they need to do outstanding work, that Warehouse Team Members are rostered and supported, and that every bundle is packed with care.

Maintain accurate inventory records, track clothing intake volumes and identify trends, providing reports to inform program planning and pipeline growth decisions.
Apply and maintain established systems for stock rotation, quality control and warehouse organisation, and contribute suggestions for continuous improvement.
Assist with the movement of stock within the Gold Coast warehouse or between Baby Give Back sites as required.
Order Fulfilment and Logistics
Support an engaging and welcoming collection experience for support workers collecting orders.
People and Volunteer Management
Provide day-to-day supervision and support to Warehouse Team Members, ensuring they are set up to guide volunteers effectively, have what they need to do their work and feel supported in their roles.
Conduct new volunteer inductions and lead corporate volunteering group sessions, ensuring all visitors have a purposeful,

welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.
Assign tasks to volunteers at the start of each session and ensure work areas are well-stocked and ready before volunteers arrive, so Warehouse Team Members can guide volunteers effectively throughout their session.
Foster a strong, values-driven team culture built on kindness, teamwork and impact.
Coordinate university, school, youth, NDIS and other volunteer group sessions: liaising with the relevant organisation on scheduling / booking, managing pre-visit logistics, ensuring relevant work areas are well-stocked and ready and completing post-visit administration.
Organisational Support
Work closely with the Impact team to align warehouse operations with the needs of supported families.
Provide regular reporting on warehouse operations, including intake volumes, trends, team and volunteer capacity, and any issues or improvement opportunities identified on the floor.
