Casual Raceday Staff play an important role in the smooth operation of race meetings by assisting with a range of duties before, during and after race events and trial sessions.
This is a great prospect for people who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and are looking for flexible casual work.
Successful applicants may be rostered at GRSA racing locationsacross South Australia, including Angle Park, Gawler, Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier and Virginia.
Rostering will take into consideration each employee's location, availability and willingness to work across different sites.
About the Role
Casual Raceday Staff may be required to assist with a variety of raceday duties, including:
Supporting the general operation of race meetings
Assisting with greyhound handling and movement as required
Helping ensure racing areas are kept safe, clean and organised
Following directions from Stewards, supervisors and raceday officials
Supporting staff, participants and officials during race meetings and trial sessions
Complying with workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures
About You
We are looking for people who are:
Reliable, punctual and willing to work flexible hours
Comfortable working around animals, particularly greyhounds




Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Calm, practical and professional in a busy raceday environment
Physically capable of performing general raceday duties
Willing to work at different GRSA locations as required
Available for casual shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where required
Previous experience in racing, animal handling or a similar environment will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
Training and support will be provided to suitable candidates.
