MASTEC is seeking an experiencedContracts Managerto lead the full lifecycle of our customer contracts—from identifying recent business opportunities and preparing winning tender submissions through to contract delivery, stakeholder management, project completion and ongoing customer relationships.
This is a hands-on role that combinesbusiness development, contract management and project delivery.
You will work closely with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for managing strategic customer contracts while identifying opportunities to grow the business.
You will oversee contract performance, coordinate project delivery, manage commercial risks and ensure outstanding customer service throughout every stage of the contract lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Tender Management
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
Prepare business cases and tender submissions for new opportunities.
Draft, negotiate and execute customer contracts.
Maintain a register of tenders, submissions and contract documentation.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and contractors.
Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, extensions and CPI reviews.
Work closely with operational teams to ensure manufacturing capacity aligns with customer requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve documentation, processes and commercial outcomes.
Contract & Project Delivery
Manage the successful delivery of contracts from award through to completion.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines and delivery schedules.
Coordinate internal resources and stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Monitor project costs,



budgets and performance.
Ensure invoicing and commercial obligations are completed accurately and on time.
Manage contract variations, issue resolution and stakeholder communication.
Oversee contract close-out, extensions and renewals.
Work collaboratively with the Assembly & Distribution team to maximise operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Customer Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters.
Build long-term relationships with customers through proactive communication and problem solving.
Monitor contract performance and ensure contractual obligations are consistently achieved.
Conduct post-project reviews with customers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare monthly management reports on contract performance, project status and commercial outcomes.
Track tender success rates, new business growth and project performance.
Monitor delivery against budgets, timelines and key performance indicators.
Analyse completed projects and implement lessons learned to improve future performance.
About You
You are an organised and commercially minded professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on project delivery.
You'll ideally have:
Demonstrated experience in contract management, project management or business development.
Experience managing customer contracts from tender through to completion.
Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail with strong documentation and record management skills.
Financial and commercial acumen, including budget and cost management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems.
Experience working within manufacturing, logistics, waste management or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
