We are seeking an experienced and visionaryAssistant Principal (Early Childhood Education)to lead excellence in our Kindergarten to Year 2 learning community.
This role is ideal for an outstanding educator with a deep understanding of contemporary early years pedagogy, child development, play-based learning, and evidence-informed practice.
We are also seeking an accomplishedAssistant Principal (Primary Years)to drive excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes across the school.
The successful candidate will be a strategic and collaborative leader with demonstrated experience in curriculum leadership, data-informed improvement and driving school priorities in a collaborative context.
Both roles require individuals who can lead high-performing teams, champion student achievement and wellbeing, and work closely with staff to cultivate a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and contemporary educational practice.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Assistant Principal (Pre-Kindergarten to Year 2) - Selection Criteria (Role Specific)
Proven experience in leading high-quality teaching and learning through the implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum, with a strong understanding of SCSA assessment and reporting requirements.
Excellent knowledge and experience of Early Childhood frameworks and accountability processes, including the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS),



with a commitment to best practice in Early Childhood education.
Highly developed skills in data collection, analysis and interpretation at student, cohort and whole-school levels, with the ability to lead staff in using data and digital technologies to inform teaching, learning and school improvement.
Experience with systems such as Learning Insights, ELYND and On-Entry data is desirable.
Assistant Principal (Years 3–6) - Selection Criteria (Role Specific)
Demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing, pastoral care, inclusion and positive behaviour practices, with the ability to support the diverse academic, social and emotional needs of students and foster positive outcomes for all learners.
Proven experience in leading high-quality teaching and learning through the implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum, with a strong understanding of SCSA assessment, moderation and reporting requirements.
Demonstrated capacity to lead curriculum improvement initiatives, particularly in literacy and numeracy, through evidence-based pedagogical practice and a commitment to continuous school improvement.
Highly developed skills in data collection, analysis and interpretation at student, cohort and whole-school levels, with the ability to lead staff in using data and digital technologies to inform teaching, learning and school improvement.
Experience with systems such as Learning Insights, ACER, Assessform and CEWA data tools is desirable.
Selection Criteria (Common to Both Positions)
Active member of the Catholic Church with the ability to demonstrate and live out Gospel Values in accordance with the Catholic ethos,



mission and vision of Catholic education.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive, respectful and collaborative relationships with staff, students, parents, parish and the wider community, and to contribute positively as a member of a flexible and supportive Leadership Team.
Demonstrated exemplary knowledge of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (AITSL) and substantial experience in supporting, mentoring, coaching and developing staff through effective instructional leadership and professional growth processes.
Proven experience in leading Skilled Learning Communities (PLCs), fostering collaboration, collective efficacy, accountability and a sustained focus on student achievement and school improvement priorities.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to and co-construct strategic and operational planning documents, including Annual School Improvement Plans, Strategic Plans and other school improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated confidence, resilience and strategic leadership required to effectively lead, implement and sustain significant school improvement and change initiatives within a complex educational environment.
Demonstrated successful leadership experience in a school leadership position, with a proven track record of developing staff capacity, improving student outcomes and contributing to whole-school improvement.
Demonstrated ability to work as a key member of an Executive Leadership Team, contributing strategically to decision-making, organisational effectiveness and the achievement of school priorities.
