An excellent career opportunity exists for an experiencedMaintenance Managerto lead our maintenance operations at the Gilbert & Light Regional Council farms.
Key responsibilities:
The position of Maintenance Manager, is primarily responsible for the budgeting, planning and implementation and allocation of jobs for all preventative and emergency maintenance and involvement in the procurement and installation of plant, equipment, buildings and infrastructure associated with the operation of breeder farms whilst ensuring that all work on the site is carried out in a protected manner to adhere to company budgets, standards and systems.
The position is also responsible for supervision of work in various farm site.
All maintenance work should be completed working to Baiada standards including Minimum Operating Standards, ISO System, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Policy, Workplace Injury Management.
Required skills (Must have):
Trade qualifications in a related discipline
Legally permitted to work in Australia without limitations (Australian Citizen or permanent resident)
Knowledge of poultry farming and its associated operations
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to make quick and correct decisions "on the job" and throughout a production day
Ability to set-up plant and equipment to achieve efficiency targets set for plant and equipment operation
Ability to use hard copy and computer-based maintenance schedules on a weekly, daily and hourly basis and other computer related maintenance data that is required to be entered.
Excellent planning and project management skills particularly in relation to control of a maintenance workforce through a daily production.
Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to arrive at and implement long term preventative actions
