About the Role
In this role, you will contribute to the smooth daily operation of the store, kitchen, and accommodation services.
Responsibilities include preparing and serving takeaway food, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, managing customer orders and POS transactions, maintaining stock and supplies, assisting with guest services and bookings, responding to general enquiries, and maintaining welcoming facilities.
You will help coordinate daily workflows, support the training of new staff, and contribute to a safe, professional, and hospitable environment for guests, customers, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the smooth daily running of kitchen, customer service, housekeeping, and guest service operations.
· Prepare and serve a range of takeaway food items, ensuring high-quality presentation and friendly service.
· Serve and sell food orders, delivering meals to customers in a timely and friendly manner.
· Clear and maintain outdoor seating areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
· Maintain food safety and hygiene standards through regular cleaning, sanitising of preparation areas, and proper storage of ingredients.
· Restock condiments, packaging and other supplies to ensure continuous availability during service periods.
· Operate the POS system and accurately process cash, EFTOS, direct deposit, income management, and basic card transactions.
Balance the till and complete end-of-day closing procedures.
· Manage accommodation bookings, prepare tax invoices, and respond to guest enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
· Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate incoming deliveries to ensure adequate supply.
· Train new team members in service procedures, hygiene practices, and operational standards.
· Arrange guest requests and bookings to enhance the visitor experience.
· Support safety and compliance by communicating store and accommodation procedures and ensuring guests and staff follow required safety guidelines.
· Contribute to a welcoming, professional, and hygienic atmosphere for guests, customers, and the wider community.
Minimum Requirements
· 1-2 years work experience in hospitality
· Ability to work in a remote location
Hours:
40 hours per week, rostered across 5 days including weekends as required.
Location:
Epenarra Station and Store, Murray Downs Road, Davenport Ranges, NT
A Very remote Northern Territory cattle station, approximately 210km from Tennant Creek.
Perks:

Transport from Tennant Creek can be arranged for the successful applicant.
Pay: $70,****** – $80,****** per year
