NQD & Co Transport is seeking a reliable and professionalDelivery Driver - Pickups & Deliveryto join our team on acasual basis.
Based in Townsville QLD, this role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that customer parcels and goods are collected and delivered efficiently and safely across the region.
As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of NQD & Co Transport, playing a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional service and reliability.
This is a hands-on position that requires physical activity, excellent time management, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Collecting parcels and goods from various pick-up locations and delivering them to designated addresses within scheduled timeframes
Planning effective delivery routes to maximise productivity and minimise fuel costs
Loading, securing and unloading parcels safely to prevent damage during transit
Maintaining accurate records of all pickups and deliveries using digital tracking systems
Obtaining customer signatures and handling payment transactions where applicable
Conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements
Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies whilst operating the delivery vehicle
Providing professional and courteous customer service at all collection and delivery points
Managing customer enquiries and resolving delivery-related issues professionally
What we're looking for
A valid Australian driving licence (class C minimum) with a clean driving record
Previous experience in delivery driving, courier services or a similar logistics role
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple deliveries
Strong physical fitness and ability to lift, carry and handle parcels of varying weights regularly throughout the day
Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines
Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanour
Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and digital delivery tracking software
A valid Working with Children Check (if applicable to the role)
Knowledge of local Townsville streets and suburbs is advantageous
A proactive approach to health and safety practices
