About the role
The Finance Officer is an key member of the Corporate Services team and is responsible for providing professional administrative assistance across a range of disciplines within the finance team.
You will contribute to the efficient running of the administration of the organisation's finance systems, including Sage, Employment Hero, SharePoint and/or other information systems engaged by Anglicare NQ.
The role will primarily support diverse finance tasks, which may include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other tasks as directed by the Finance Manager.
The role will function as a support to the finance team during periods of high demand and staff absences.
To be successful you will need
A Certificate, Diploma, or working toward a degree qualification in Business, Accounting or a related field, and/or practical experience in Accounts and/or Payroll administration within a structured environment.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats, including preparing routine correspondence and responding to enquiries from staff and stakeholders.
Well-developed ICT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and Accounting/Payroll systems, with the capacity to quickly learn new processes and databases used for accounts and payroll.
Proven ability to maintain accurate administrative and personnel records, apply confidentiality principles, and follow established procedures with a high level of attention to detail.
Proven track record of contributing positively within team environments, with the ability to navigate workplace communication and build effective working relationships.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external providers, fostering productive relationships to support organisational outcomes.
Understanding of the community services sector, including awareness of relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, and service delivery standards with the ability to follow established procedures and guidelines.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, including the ability to work in culturally safe and respectful ways with First Nations peoples and diverse communities.
Compliance
Satisfactory outcome of a current (less than 3 months old) National Criminal History Check
Blue Card (QLD working with children card)
LSC2 (child safety screening check)
QLD drivers' licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalent
