About the role
As aSous ChefatBinna Burra Mountain Lodge, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
Located in the stunning Beechmont, QLD **** region, this is a full-time opportunity to be part of a passionate and dedicated hospitality team delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.
What you'll be doing
Assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team and ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation
Overseeing the production of all menu items, maintaining consistent quality and efficient service
Participating in menu planning and recipe development to align with the company's culinary vision
Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen brigade
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
Actively contributing to the ongoing training and development of junior kitchen staff
Assisting with inventory management and cost control measure
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior culinary role within the hospitality industry
Formal culinary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of cooking techniques and the ability to create innovative dishes
Strong leadership and team management skills,



with a proven track record of developing and motivating kitchen staff
Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
Passion for using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients and a deep understanding of food trends
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, to meet the needs of the business
