We're looking for an enthusiastic, people-focused Client Support Officer who is passionate about building relationships, creating opportunities and helping people access the services they need to thrive.
The Client Support Officer is suited to someone who enjoys working with people, communicates with patience and respect, and understands the importance of culturally safe and professional service.
You will be confident managing a high volume of phone calls, building strong relationships, and providing a positive experience for every person who engages with Midlas.
About Us
The Midland Information Debt and Legal Advocacy Service (Midlas) is a not-for-profit Community Legal Centre with offices in Midland and Ellenbrook that supports eligible clients with legal services, disability advocacy, financial counselling, financial capability and wellbeing, tenancy advocacy and community engagement and initiatives.
About the role
They will be responsible for assisting and supporting clients to gain access to Midlas services, duties include:
Acting as thefirst point of contactfor Midlas clients, community members, and stakeholders via phone, email, and in person
Managing ahigh volume of inbound and outbound phone calls, providing friendly, respectful, and timely assistance
Responding to enquiries with care and professionalism, ensuring community members feel heard and supported
Maintaining accurate client records, correspondence, and confidential information
Providing administrative support to assist the effective delivery of Midlas services and programs

The ideal candidate will be available for full-time work; job-sharing may be considered depending on Midlas' ability to staff required hours of the position.

Required Education/Licences/Certificates
Current National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
Current Working with Children Check
Current unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Relevant Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Experience working in a high-pressure customer service / reception role in the not-for-profit community services sector, or similar industry
Understanding or demonstrated ability to work with people in a trauma-informed manner
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a calm, solution focused approach
Intermediate skills across Microsoft Office 365
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build respectful relationships
Solid computer literacy including intermediate skills across Microsoft Office 365, and the ability to learn new systems and platforms
Ability to travel throughout the Perth metropolitan area
