About the Opportunity
Allied Waste Services is seeking experienced, safety-focused drivers who are interested in operating as independent owner-driver subcontractors across our Adelaide operations.
This opportunity is suited to experienced truck drivers who are ready to take the next step and operate their own business.
Successful applicants will be paid per completed job, with guaranteed work available through Allied Waste Services.
As part of this opportunity, we also have suitable skip trucks available for purchase by the right applicants and can assist with in-house finance for approved applicants.
Key Responsibilities
As an Allied Waste subcontractor, you will:
Safely collect, deliver and exchange skip bins across commercial, construction and residential sites.
Transport waste to approved disposal and recycling facilities.
Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate job records.
Comply with road laws, Chain of Responsibility requirements, safety procedures and environmental regulations.
Maintain your truck in a secure, clean and professional condition.
Provide reliable, professional and courteous service to Allied Waste customers.
Complete allocated jobs efficiently and communicate with our operations team throughout the day.
What We're Looking For
Successful applicants will ideally have:
A current Heavy Rigid licence.
At least 12 months of HR driving experience.
Previous skip truck or waste industry experience, which would be an advantage.
A strong understanding of road safety and safe work practices.
A reliable and professional approach.
Valuable communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and manage daily workloads.
An ABN and the ability to operate as an independent subcontractor.
Appropriate licences.
