Workshop Manager - Kalgoorlie (Residential)

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Workshop Manager – residential to join our team based in Kalgoorlie.
This is a local position (residential only).
No FIFO or accommodation available for this role.
Key Role Focus & Responsibilities:
The Workshop Manager's key role focus is to coordinate and direct all the activities of a workshop, manage staff and ensure the efficiency of the workshop.
Tasks would include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate equipment inspection and testing, ensuring all systems perform according to industry standards
· Assist in establishing and implementing operational procedures and policies relating to the maintenance division
· Planning and coordinating all workshop activities, scheduling 3rd party repairers, and allocating tasks to direct report
· Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment
· Managing the workshop budget, ensuring quality, and controlling costs
· Training staff on new technology, equipment, workshop procedures, and safety protocols
· Maintain a positive and productive work setting
· Communicating with key stakeholders in developing unscheduled maintenance and repair plans
· Managing inventory of tools, parts and equipment, and ordering new supplies as needed
· Keep up to date with the latest industry developments and trends
· Responsible for compliant disposal of generated waste

About you:




· Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Minimum C class)
· Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
· Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
· Relevant Trade Qualification
· Frontline Management (desirable)
· Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
· Demonstrated leadership skills and people management ability
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Dedication to high safety standards
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills
· Ability to convey information clearly and effectively
· Cooperative team player with a positive and constructive attitude
· Strong problem-solving abilities
· Well-developed computer skills and adaptability to new systems
Desirable but Not Essential:
· MRHVA compliance
· SLP/Fuel industry compliance
· Dangerous goods compliance
· MTDATA experience
· Guardian experience
· Fuel/Office Companion experience
Experience:
· 2 years previous experience in a similar role/industry desirable
· Extensive knowledge of heavy vehicles and equipment.
· Experience with Road Transport/Truck & Trailer Repairs
· Proficient in data base and inventory management.
· Demonstrated effective workforce management.
· Proven experience in workshop roles, demonstrating expertise in your field
