Reporting to the Water & Sewerage Supervisor, you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance, repairs, and construction activities relating to Council's water and sewerage infrastructure across Flinders Shire. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliable operation of essential services and contributes directly to Council's operational and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining and repairing water and sewerage infrastructure.
Installing and testing plumbing systems and backflow devices.
Responding to emergency breakdowns and service issues.
Operating plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
Assisting with inspections, sampling and compliance activities.
Supporting apprentices and working alongside contractors.
Providing professional customer service to residents and stakeholders.




What We're Looking For:
Trade qualification in Plumbing and Drainage
Current MR Drivers Licence
Construction Induction White Card
Confined Spaces Ticket
Solid problem solving and communication skills
Commitment to safety and teamwork
Ability to work independently and participate in an on call roster
