Tell me about this role:
As a
Project Controller
, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of Defence projects by developing, maintaining, and reporting on integrated project schedules. Working closely with project teams, stakeholders, and Defence counterparts, you will ensure schedule, cost, and earned value data are accurate, aligned, and fit for purpose. This role sits at the heart of project performance, enabling effective decision‐making and contract reporting across complex programs.

What will I be doing day to day?
Develop, maintain, and manage
project schedules
used for tracking deliverables and milestones
Update project schedules and
cost forecasts on a monthly basis
Support
monthly reporting activities
, including PPRIP, MRM, and other project reports
Provide
earned value management (EVM) oversight and reporting
Integrate
cost, schedule, and risk data
to support accurate performance reporting
Assist with the development and maintenance of
key project documentation
(e.g. MAA, PES, IPMP)
Support and advise team members on
scheduling and planning requirements
Liaise with Defence stakeholders, including
Defence Space Command schedulers
when required
Provide guidance to contractors on
best‐practice schedule construction
Collaborate with other schedulers and provide support across projects as needed
What sort of skills do I need?




Proven experience in project scheduling and roadmap development in a Defence environment
Strong capability using
Earned Value Management (EVM)
methodologies
Hands‐on experience with Microsoft Project,
Open Plan Professional
and related project control tools
Ability to work with
integrated cost, schedule, and risk data
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including working with Defence, industry, and international partners
Eligibility to access US export‐controlled information
Australian citizenship and a minimum NV1 security clearance
