THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to join our senior leadership team. This is a standalone HR role responsible for leading all aspects of the employee lifecycle and partnering with leaders across the business to foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.
This position is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously, takes initiative, and is confident managing a broad range of HR responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including candidate attraction, interviewing, onboarding, and visa sponsorship coordination.
Prepare employment contracts, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Manage employee onboarding, engagement,
learning and development, and initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.
Coordinate probation reviews, performance appraisals, and provide guidance to managers on performance management and employee relations matters.
Manage workers' compensation claims and Return to Work programs, liaising with employees, medical providers, insurers, and managers.
Develop, review, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance documentation to ensure alignment with legislative requirements and best practice.
Provide trusted HR advice and support to managers and employees across a wide range of people related matters.
Contribute as a member of the senior management team, supporting organisational growth, culture, and continuous improvement initiatives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will:
Previous experience in a Human Resources Manager or Senior HR Advisor role.
Solid knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, and HR best practice.
Experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, workers' compensation, and HR compliance.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to make decisions and work independently.
The ability to identify opportunities for improvement, implement practical solutions, and take ownership of outcomes with minimal supervision.
