About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quarry Plant Operator to join the team at Waters Excavations' in Mildura, VIC. This is a full time position that will see you operating loaders, excavators and a range of quarry plant and equipment at our Waters Industrial Recycling Facility. You will also be operating heavy vehicles including rigid trucks, and dog trailers to support our quarry deliveries when needed.
What you'll be doing
Safely operate loaders and a range of quarry plant and equipment
Safely operate heavy vehicles such as rigid trucks and dog trailers
Operating crushing and screening plant and equipment
Operating the CDE wash plant
Loading customers with quarry materials
Assist with general site duties as required
Transport materials to and from our civil construction sites as well as deliveries to customers.
Carry out daily pre-start checks and minor maintenance on your assigned vehicle
Ensure all vehicles are operated in compliance with road rules and company policies
What we're looking for
Plant Operating Tickets
Valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence
White Card
Quarry Experience is an advantage
Experience operating loaders and a range of quarry plant and equipment
Understanding of plant maintenance and the ability to carry out basic checks and repairs
Excellent driving skills and the ability to manoeuvre large vehicles in tight spaces
Experience operating semi-trailers, rigid trucks and dog trailers is an advantage
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
