Senior Project Engineer
ready to transition into a
Project Manager
role.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in delivering premium residential developments valued at
$40 million and above
.
Initially, you will lead the engineering and project delivery functions before progressing into full Project Management responsibilities through a structured development pathway.
Unlike many contractor roles, this position provides exposure to every stage of the development process, including:
Development strategy and project planning
Design coordination and value engineering
Procurement and subcontractor management
Commercial management and cost control
Programming and project scheduling
Consultant and authority coordination
Construction delivery
Client and stakeholder management
Defect management and project completion

About You




You are an experienced Senior Project Engineer looking for the opportunity to step into Project Management.
You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex problems and take pride in delivering exceptional projects.
Essential Experience
Minimum
8 years' experience
within the Australian construction industry.
Demonstrated experience delivering projects with a construction value of
$40 million or greater
.
Experience as a Senior Project Engineer on high-rise residential, mixed-use or major commercial developments.
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
Robust commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, procurement and subcontractor performance.
Excellent programming and planning capability.
Sound understanding of contracts, construction methodologies and Australian Standards.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead, mentor and motivate project teams.
A proactive mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
Full Australian working rights.
Highly Regarded
Previous experience within both a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor and a developer-builder.
Luxury residential construction experience.
Experience with Procore, JobPac, CHEOPS, HammerTech, Aconex, Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Exposure to design management and development feasibility.
Your Responsibilities
Lead project engineering activities from commencement through completion.
Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Develop and manage detailed construction programmes.




Drive procurement and subcontractor engagement.
Monitor project budgets, forecasting and financial reporting.
Manage contract administration and commercial outcomes.
Ensure quality assurance and compliance standards are maintained.
Identify and mitigate project risks.
Support site teams to achieve programme, safety and quality objectives.
Progress into full Project Management responsibilities.
