— guide how we show up every day. If these resonate with you, you'll fit right in.
About the Role
We're looking for a confident, friendly and proactive full-time Receptionist to join our Client Care team based in Newcastle. This is a phone‐first role where you'll be the warm, clear and reliable voice that helps clients get what they need quickly and easily. You'll also support our front‐of‐house operations and keep the office running smoothly.
There is an opportunity for this role to be offered as a traineeship completing a Cert 3 in Business Administration as part of the role.
What You'll Be Doing
Working as part of our supportive Client Care team, you'll:
Be the first point of contact for incoming calls — answering enquiries, directing calls and taking accurate messages
Welcome visitors to the office when required
Schedule inspections and appointments, ensuring information is entered clearly and correctly
Process incoming and outgoing mail
Keep the office tidy and organised
Run occasional errands (post office, groceries, etc.)
Communicate with clients via phone and email
Support other teams across the business
What You'll Bring
You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who enjoys helping people, stays calm under pressure and brings a positive, can‐do attitude to your day.
We're looking for someone who:
Is confident speaking with anyone over the phone
Has robust attention to detail and accuracy
Communicates clearly — both verbally and in writing
Has a polite, friendly and professional manner
Is proactive, willing to learn and happy to support the team
Holds a valid driver's licence and legal work rights in Australia
Prior customer service experience is helpful, but not essential — we're more interested in your attitude, energy and willingness to grow.
The Perks
Great work comes from great people. Here's what you can expect:
Flexible working (3 days office + 2 days home after training period)
Competitive salary + annual reviews
Leadership development, mentoring and training
Sonder Wellbeing Platform
Birthday leave + purchased leave options
A supportive team that genuinely has your back
