At Solinnov, we innovate and implement algorithms to make sense of complex signals in FPGA-based embedded real time systems. Our primary areas of development are wireless communications, electronic warfare, and radar.
Our areas of expertise include digital signal processing algorithm design, algorithm implementation on digital hardware systems, real-time embedded software design, and application software design.
IMPORTANT:
Applicants must hold Australian citizenship and either have, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Defence security clearance (NV1) from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Systems and Infrastructure Administrator who enjoys learning, solving problems, helping people, and continually improving the way technology supports the business.
You'll be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and continually improving our Microsoft enterprise environments and Linux systems, ensuring our IT services remain reliable, secure, and fit for purpose. Our environment supports both business users and engineers across Microsoft and Linux platforms.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is proactive, responsive, and naturally curious. You will enjoy exploring AI and other emerging technologies to identify opportunities to improve business processes and enhance the user experience.
You will also strengthen our security posture by implementing best practices, staying ahead of emerging threats and software vulnerabilities, and leading our ongoing efforts to achieve and maintain compliance with Australian Government cybersecurity requirements across our Microsoft and Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and support our IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and workstations across Microsoft and Linux environments.
Lead or contribute to IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives, including the practical application of AI to improve systems,
service delivery, operational efficiency, and the user experience.
Administer user accounts, devices, software, and enterprise IT services, including self-hosted and cloud-hosted platforms.
Maintain the security, resilience, and performance of our IT environment, including compliance with Australian Government cybersecurity requirements.
Deliver responsive, customer-focused technical support across multiple sites to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
Develop, document, implement, and review IT policies, procedures, and operational documentation.
Liaise with technology vendors, service providers, and external partners.
Undertake occasional interstate travel between our two sites for short periods as required.
Technical Skills and Experience
You will have experience across a range of enterprise IT technologies, including:
Microsoft enterprise environments, including Windows workstations and Microsoft cloud services.
Linux systems administration.
Enterprise networking, infrastructure, and virtualisation.
Identity and access management.
Endpoint management, provisioning, and configuration.
Cybersecurity solutions, governance, and security best practice.
Infrastructure services, containers, and automation.
IT service management, project delivery, and technical documentation.
Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
Qualifications and Experience
Australian citizen and eligible for Australian security clearance (NV1)
At least five years' relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or a similar role.
A Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant discipline, a Bachelor of Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant industry experience.
