Mesh and Bar Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and safety-focused
Gantry Crane Operator / Loader
to join our Day Shift production team at our Pakenham branch.
We manufacture and supply steel reinforcement products to the construction industry and are currently experiencing significant growth.
This is a hands-on factory role responsible for loading trucks, moving and stacking finished steel products, organising loads and supporting the flow of production throughout the factory.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Operating overhead gantry cranes.
Loading trucks safely and efficiently.
Moving, stacking and organising finished steel products.
Checking loads against paperwork and production requirements.
Working closely with production operators and the dispatch team.
Maintaining an organised and efficient loading area.
Identifying and reporting quality or safety issues.
Supporting general factory operations when required.
Following workplace safety procedures and company expectations.

Previous experience operating overhead cranes, loading trucks, handling steel products, working in manufacturing or reinforcement steel would be highly regarded.

Employment Conditions
The successful applicant will be employed on a casual basis, with full-time (38) hours provided.
Day Shift Casual Rate: $***** per hour
Overtime rates apply in accordance with applicable employment conditions.
