Field Operator/Data Technician - Airborne Geophysics
MAGSPEC Airborne Surveys
is a provider of airborne geophysical mapping technologies worldwide. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking
Geophysical Survey Field Operators
on a casual basis, managing domestic and international airborne geophysical projects.
About the Role
The role includes working in a team environment with air crew generally in remote and regional areas, whilst maintaining communication with the Projects Manager.
To be considered for this role, you should have some exposure to working awaywith a good aptitude in technical systems and good/fair computer skills.
Scope of Position
To maintain and operate geophysical surveying equipment, while collecting, compiling, and archiving related survey data.
The position involves working and living for extended periods of time in remoteor regional locations across Australia or in other countries as required.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain focus on safety and comply with the company's Safety Policies.
Ensure that data quality standards are maintained.
Responsible for the collection, compilation and processing of data.
Record keeping of daily production, events,



weather and statistical information.
Work closely with and assist survey Pilots and Projects Manager with in-field logistics.

Skills and Experience
Analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
A strong focus on safety.
Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
Work effectively with others, in close confines, for extended periods of time.
Proficient in basic mathematics and unit conversion.
Computer literate; knowledge of internet applications, word processing and spreadsheet software.
Be in good physical condition (combination of sitting, lifting and standing for long periods of time).
Ideal Requirements
Experience in Airborne Geophysics or Survey.
Experience in exploration.
Data processing experience.
HR/MR Driving License an advantage.
A Geoscience qualification an advantage.
