About
the RoleReporting to the Manager Waste Services, you
will play a key role in supporting the administration, compliance,
and effective management of waste services contracts across the
City.
This diverse
position combines contract administration, stakeholder engagement,
procurement governance, compliance monitoring, and continuous
improvement. Working closely with internal stakeholders,
contractors, suppliers, and the community, you will help ensure
waste service contracts are managed effectively and deliver
high-quality outcomes for residents.
The
position's key responsibilities are:
Support
the administration and performance monitoring of waste services
contracts.
Facilitate quotation,
contract variation, extension, and compliance
processes.
Investigate contractual
matters and provide recommendations for resolution.
Provide
advice and support to internal stakeholders on contract
management activities.
Maintain
accurate contract registers, databases, records, and business
systems.
Liaise
with customers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to
resolve enquiries and issues.
Assist
with contract audits and compliance activities.
Identify
opportunities for business improvement and enhanced service
delivery.
Support
the development and delivery of contract management processes,
procedures, and training.
About
youYou are a highly organised and customer-focused
professional who enjoys working with a broad range of stakeholders
and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant, and high-quality
outcomes. You would be adaptable, ready to take on a challenge and
be able to demonstrate the below requirements:
Qualification (or
working towards a qualification) in relevant discipline such as
Procurement and Contracts Management, or you have relevant
experience.
Knowledge of procurement
and contract management principles and practices.
Experience using
contract management systems (Open Windows experience will be
highly regarded).
Demonstrated experience
in the effective utilisation of information systems and
technology to support contract administration, reporting, and
record management.
Strong
organisational skills and the ability to manage competing
priorities.
Excellent customer
service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed research,
analysis, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
Sound
knowledge of workplace health and safety
principles.
