About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable professional with hands-on experience and a strong interest in compliance and WHS procedures. You will be confident working independently with strong communication and organisational skills.
This role is accountable for the safe, compliant, timely and effective management of operations projects across our research farms including Belmont Station and Brian Pastures Facility. The role manages identified projects across facilities aimed at ensuring optimum capability for both commercial and research agricultural operations to best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operations, Compliance and Asset Management
Manage delivery of specified farm operations and asset management across Belmont Station (Rockhampton) and Brian Pastures Facilities (Gayndah).
Implement online record system for field operations conducted at both facilities livestock, paddock management, and other management activities. (Belmont Station and Brian Pastures)
Assist set up and implementation of asset management plan for each site. (Belmont Station and Brian Pastures). Complete a stock take of plant and machinery assets. (Belmont)
Project manage implementation of key farm improvements including fencing, stock yards and water supply. (Belmont Station).
Implement online system to capture records of safety training and site inductions for employees, visitors and contractors (Belmont Station).
Assist development of a farm operational plan and calendar of key site activities (Belmont Station).
Complete update of risk assessments and safe operating procedures for key risks at site. Implement VOC process for high risk activities. (Belmont Station)
Implement biosecurity plan for site with management of weeds a priority. Set up clean down facility and point of entry management (signage, visitor biosecurity check) to ensure 'come clean go clean' compliance. (Belmont Station). Check lessee has suitable biosecurity plan in place. (Brian Pastures).
Assist implementation of environmental compliance including self-assessment of land management activities applicable under EPBC legislation. (Belmont Station and Brian Pastures).
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Proven experience in managing projects for agricultural operations.
Experience with stock take and asset management plans
Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements
Ability to implement environmental and biosecurity plans
The ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple priorities.
Strong organisational and reporting capability, with attention to detail.
Degree in Agricultural Science or equivalent desirable.
Experience in agriculture, membership organisations, events, or regional industries will be highly regarded.
