The Role
The role of the Lead Education Assistant is to lead, mentor, coach, and model good practices for other Education Assistants. You will be an important and valued leader, you will assist in leading, growing and managing the Education Assistant workforce. The successful applicant should operate collaboratively with superordinates and subordinates and be able to build and maintain effective team-based relationships.



We value individuals who are highly professional, organised and display excellent communication skills, in line with the Department of Education's Code of Conduct, drawing on these attributes when working with staff and the school community.
The Education Assistant - Lead contributes to the design and implementation of documented plans and provide solutions and support to education assistants and teachers, which promote positive student behaviour and improved educational outcomes in the classroom. It is highly desirable for applicants to have experience in working with students with a range of learning needs and disabilities including complex communication needs, complex medical needs and challenging behaviours.
