At Prime, we're looking for a commercially minded
Manager – Accounting, Tax & CFO Advisory
to join our growing Accounting & Business Advisory division.
This role offers the best of both worlds — leveraging your strong technical tax and accounting expertise while developing your capability as a trusted business adviser.
You'll work closely with privately owned businesses, high-net-worth clients and growing organisations, helping them navigate everything from compliance and tax planning through to strategic decision-making, virtual CFO support and business transactions.
What You'll Do
As a Manager, you'll play a key leadership role within the team, acting as a trusted adviser to clients while mentoring and developing emerging talent.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a diverse portfolio of business advisory, tax and compliance clients.
Reviewing financial statements, tax returns and complex taxation matters for companies, trusts and partnerships.
Providing proactive tax planning, structuring and advisory solutions.
Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value.
Preparing and reviewing management reports, budgets, forecasts and Board reporting packs.
Supporting clients with strategic business decisions through virtual CFO and outsourced finance services.




Assisting with business acquisitions, due diligence engagements and transaction support projects.
Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing team of accountants.
Collaborating closely with Partners and leaders across Prime's Advisory, Capital, Wealth and Asset Management divisions.
Contributing to Prime's "One Connected" approach by identifying opportunities for cross-divisional collaboration and client solutions.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with commercial acumen and a genuine passion for helping businesses succeed.
Ideally, you'll bring:
CA or CPA qualification.
Significant experience within Australian public practice accounting.
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, business advisory and compliance requirements.
Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Experience leading and developing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused and commercially minded approach.
Highly Desirable:
