Are you an Occupational Therapist looking for more variety, flexibility and long-term career progression?
This is an exciting opportunity to move from a traditional clinical setting into occupational rehabilitation, where you can continue using your OT skills while making an impact beyond the treatment room.
Based in Orange, you will join an established national organisation that is well known for its supportive culture, strong induction program and genuine investment in its people. Previous occupational rehabilitation experience is not essential, as comprehensive training, mentoring and weekly one-to-one support will be provided.
Rather than managing a day filled with back-to-back appointments, you will work with clients over time, helping them rebuild confidence, increase independence and safely return to work and meaningful daily activities.
What You'll Be Doing
Use your OT knowledge to understand how an injury or health condition impacts a person's work and everyday life
Complete functional, ergonomic, workplace and activities of daily living assessments
Develop practical rehabilitation and return-to-work plans tailored to each client
Support clients to gradually return to their previous role, suitable duties or new employment
Work closely with employers, insurers, doctors and treating health professionals
Manage a wide-ranging caseload with access to clear processes, templates and ongoing guidance
Build trusted relationships with clients and local stakeholders across Orange and the surrounding region
Why Clinical OTs Enjoy Occupational Rehabilitation
Occupational rehabilitation allows you to use the core skills you already have as an OT, including functional assessment, goal setting, clinical reasoning and client advocacy,
but in a more consultative and flexible environment.
You will have greater ownership over your diary, more variety in your working week and the opportunity to see the real-world impact of your recommendations.
It can also open the door to future career pathways in leadership, injury management, workplace health, account management and specialist consulting.
