Rental Coordinator — Orange, NSW

A-Plant Equipment is a family-owned heavy earthmoving equipment dry hire business with branches in Orange, NSW and Yatala, QLD. We're growing fast, and we're on the hunt for an enthusiastic Rental Coordinator to help drive our Orange team forward.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Based at our busy Orange branch, you'll be the friendly face and first point of contact for customers hiring plant and equipment — juggling bookings, coordinating logistics, and keeping our fleet moving smoothly across sites. You'll team up with our Branch Manager and workshop crew to deliver seamless handovers, on-time deliveries, and outstanding customer service from first quote through to off-hire.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Salary:
$75,000 – $80,000 + Super, based on experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be the first friendly voice customers hear — handling incoming hire enquiries, quotes, and bookings
•
Proactively make outbound calls to generate and follow up hire opportunities
— this is an essential part of the role, not just reactive order-taking
• Coordinate delivery and pick-up schedules with our transport and workshop teams, keeping everything running like clockwork




• Keep hire records and fleet availability accurate and up to date
• Be the go-to contact for customers on hire terms, extensions, and off-hires
• Support invoicing and hire documentation processes
• Build genuine, lasting relationships with repeat and new customers
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Experience in equipment hire, transport/logistics coordination, or a similar customer-facing coordination role
•
Confident, comfortable making proactive outbound sales/service calls — this is essential, not optional
• A strong communicator who's naturally organised and loves keeping things on track
• Thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on workplace — early starts at 7am don't faze you
• Earthmoving/construction industry knowledge is a bonus, but not essential
• A proactive, team-first attitude
