Western Australian Specialty Alloys (WASA) is an international market leader in the production of superalloys for forging and ring rolling applications for a range of aerospace, power generation and oil & gas applications. We are a fully owned subsidiary of Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC) a US manufacturing company based in Portland, Oregon.
Airbus, Boeing, GE, Rolls-Royce, and many other leading manufacturers depend on PCC for critical airframe, engine, power generation and general industrial components. With few exceptions, every aircraft in the sky flies with parts manufactured by PCC.
We are now seeking a Process Assistant to join our Perth Production team, who is prepared to work within our values of: Courage; Ownership, Collaborate, Integrity; and Innovate.
About the Role
As a Process Assistant at WASA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth operation of our Production team by reporting to our Production Superintendent.
After initial training on day shift hours, you'll move into a rotating 12-hour shift roster (day and night), working approximately 7 days per fortnight, including weekends. Enjoy a structured schedule with a mix of shifts and regular days off.
Tasks & responsibilities
Able to plan, organize and prioritize work.
Be a reliable team-player.
Safety focus person.
House Keeping Duties
Grinding with use of Machines and hand-held grinder
Good communication skills.
Unloading containers
Qualifications & Requirements
Forklift Ticket
Overhead crane experience (desirable but not essential)
Hold a white card or equivalent.
Driver's license
The ability to be flexible with working days.
Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Medical
Current Police Clearance
