Essential requirements
MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
Completion of a minimum of 5 postgraduate years or more as a medical officer in an Australian, or equivalent, acute hospital setting and practiced Anaesthesia in an Australian Hospital, or equivalent, for a minimum of 2 years out of the past 3 years (accredited or unaccredited).
Demonstrated capacity to perform clinical anaesthesia duties and responsibilities with minimal clinical supervision.
Preparedness to undertake all aspects of the role as described in the position description, including, but not limited to, participation in after-hours rosters and assistance to other departments (e.g. Emergency Department) as directed by the Head of Anaesthetics.
This position is subject to an appropriate supervision level which can be supported by the health agency. If the incumbent's registration conditions include supervision requirements, the level of supervision must be able to be supported by the health agency for this role.
Valid Working with Children Check, cleared National Police Check.
To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy,



this includes any amendments made from time to time.
