The
Operations Support
role is a hands-on position responsible for supporting Project Managers with the delivery of projects onsite, coordinating materials and equipment, warehouse and logistics operations assisting constructions crews when required.
This role requires a practical all-rounder handyman or carpenter who is organised, reliable, proactive and willing to assist across multiple areas of the business including onsite works, warehouse operations, deliveries and project support.
We seek candidates with the following skills and experience:
Experience in the construction industry

Excellent time management skills
Driver License
Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain one)
Project Start-Up Responsibilities
Conducting pre-site inspections prior to commencement of works
Ensuring sites and previous works meet ASL standards and quotation requirements prior to crews commencing
Identifying site issues and assisting with action plans or variations where required
Assisting with preparation of professional and accurate site information packs
Reviewing site plans, drawings and layouts to ensure current revisions are being used
Ensuring WHS documentation, SWMS, QA documents and site inductions are completed and signed by all onsite personnel
Ensuring all required tools, materials and equipment are ready and available prior to mobilisation
Attending site startup meetings with installers and project teams where required
Project Delivery & Site Coordination
Hands on work completing small onsite random task maintenance work – all round handy person
Assisting with onsite coordination of crews, subcontractors and suppliers
Working in a hands-on capacity to support construction activities where required
Ensuring Project Managers are updated regarding project progress, delays, defects or variations both verbally and in writing
Coordinating deliveries, material movements and equipment to ensure projects continue efficiently
Ensuring correct material batches and products are used onsite to avoid inconsistencies or colour variations
Conducting site pre-start meetings and toolbox discussions where required
Conducting QA inspections and ensuring required hold points are met
Taking and submitting progress photos and site documentation throughout project duration
Ensuring sites are maintained in a clean, safe and professional condition at all times
Assisting to resolve onsite issues quickly to minimise project downtime
Promoting a professional and positive work culture onsite at all times
Project Completion & Defects
Conducting final inspections prior to project handover
Ensuring completed works meet ASL quality standards and client expectations
Assisting with identification and rectification of defects
Coordinating defect repairs and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner
Ensuring all sites are left clean, tidy and free of damage
Ensuring all tools,
materials and equipment are returned, cleaned and stored correctly
Completing defect reports and communicating outstanding items to Project Managers and installers
Warehouse & Logistics Responsibilities
Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, organisation and safe working conditions at all times
Conducting regular stocktakes and assisting with inventory control
Organising materials, tools and equipment for upcoming projects
Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
Delivering materials, tools and equipment to and from project sites as required
Checking incoming freight and reporting shortages or damaged goods immediately
Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained, serviced and stored correctly
Assisting with management of waste, recycling and general warehouse upkeep
Ensuring all project materials are labelled, stored and easily accessible
Assisting with fleet, trailer and equipment checks to ensure operational readiness
General Expectations
Present and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
Maintain solid communication with Project Managers, office staff, suppliers and onsite personnel
Be proactive in identifying problems and assisting with solutions
Promote workplace safety and follow all company WHS requirements
Assist other departments and team members where required
Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to assist across all areas of the business
Be self-motivated, shows initiative, and can work independently without needing constant direction.
Hours and inclusions
Mon – Fri, 8 hour days (38hr work week)
