Customer Service Officer - Freight Forwarding Location: Geelong, VIC (with 1 day per fortnight in Tullamarine) Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 + Super (Fixed-Term Contract - 6 months)
Work Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Industry: Freight Forwarding & Logistics The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service & Operations Officer to join our client's team in Geelong on a fixed-term contract . Key Responsibilities Customer Support: Act as a helpful point of contact for clients, delivering proactive updates on shipment progress.
Shipment Tracking: Monitor international air and ocean freight movements (FCL/LCL). Operational Admin: Prepare customer quotations, arrange local transport, and handle invoicing/billing. System Data Entry: Accurately update shipping and customs information in CargoWise .
Team Collaboration: Work closely with overseas agents, carriers, and offshore support teams to keep freight moving smoothly. About You
Whether you have 1-2 years of experience in logistics/freight forwarding or are a sharp customer service professional looking to break into international trade,



we want to hear from you! What we are looking for: Background: 1+ years in freight forwarding, transport, or customer service (exposure to air or ocean freight is a great plus!).
Software: Experience with CargoWise is advantageous, but a willingness to learn software systems is most important. Communication: Clear, qualified written and verbal communication with a positive, client-first attitude. Skills: Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
