About the role
As an Occupational Therapist within our team, you will report to the Clinical Services Manager (Occupational Therapist). You will work closely with our allied health professionals, including a Senior Physiotherapist, fellow Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants to deliver services to a diverse group of older adults living in the community and play an exciting role in supporting the ongoing development and growth of our clinical services. This is a full time or part time role.
Deliver comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions that promote independence in daily living and self-care while supporting meaningful participation in the community
Provide Occupational Therapy services in clients' homes, community and onsite Wellness Centre settings, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care
Recommend and facilitate the provision of assistive equipment and home modifications
Conduct cognitive assessments and implement appropriate support strategies
Support fine motor and upper limb skills within home and community settings
Contribute to the development and delivery of falls prevention and cognitive group programs delivered within a wellness and reablement framework in our onsite Wellness Centre
Develop and implement therapy programs as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, utilising Allied Health Assistants to enhance service delivery
Review and evaluate therapy plans regularly to ensure that goals are met, and quality of life is enhanced
Maintain clinical records, client documentation and provide information and report on services delivered
Engage regularly with Care Coordinators to ensure clinical interventions are aligned with client needs and funding requirements
Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to service improvement initiatives

Experience and qualifications required
Relevant Degree qualifications in Occupational Therapy
Current AHPRA registration
Graduates are encouraged to apply
Previous experience in the Aged Care sector is desirable but not essential
Able to build trusting, working relationships throughout the organisation to support a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with a strong focus on customer outcomes
