to join our professional kitchen team.
About the Role
As a Chef, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and presenting high-quality meals while assisting in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. You will work closely with management and kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality, efficient service, and compliance with all food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with the venue's menu and recipes.
Plan and develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
Monitor food quality, taste, consistency and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.
Estimate food and labour costs and minimise wastage.
Order, receive and manage stock levels and kitchen supplies.
Supervise,



train and mentor kitchen staff.
Maintain a clean, organised and effective kitchen.
Ensure equipment is maintained and used safely.
Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Essential Requirements
AQF Certificate IV or Diploma in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
At least 1-2 years of relevant full-time Chef experience.
Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine and food preparation techniques.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
