The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, and improving the site's control systems to maximise plant reliability and production efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
Fault finding and troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
Diagnosing electrical and automation faults across production equipment
Supporting breakdowns while driving preventative maintenance initiatives
Assisting with commissioning of new machinery and automation projects
Working closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to improve plant performance
Maintaining accurate technical documentation and electrical drawings
Ensuring all work complies with safety and electrical standards
About You
To be successful, you'll have:
Current NSW Electrical Licence (essential)
Robust experience working with PLC systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Experience fault finding and modifying PLC programs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Schneider or similar)
Experience with SCADA and HMI platforms
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and instrumentation
Excellent fault-finding and analytical skills
Ability to work autonomously and within a collaborative engineering team
Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
Desirable
Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, packaging, or process manufacturing
Experience with VSDs, servo systems, robotics, or industrial networking
Exposure to automation upgrades and capital projects
