Camboon Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School with students from a diverse range of backgrounds and a highly professional team of teachers and education assistants who provide explicit and engaging teaching and learning programs across all learning areas. Each teacher at Camboon PS is part of a collaborative team which ensures teaching and learning programs and assessments are consistent and that staff benefit from the sharing of expertise. Working as part of a team, teaching and non‐teaching staff participate in whole school planning processes to plan for and implement consistent curriculum and policy from kindergarten through to Year 6. The Role
The Gardener - Handyperson is responsible for maintaining the school grounds in a safe and tidy condition, ensuring a conducive external learning environment for students and staff. This includes overseeing the upkeep of turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, trees, and various soft landscapes. Additionally, the role involves maintaining hard landscaping features like courts and paving, marking sports areas, and conducting minor repairs in alignment with departmental policies. The Gardener - Handyperson is also tasked with keeping gardening facilities, equipment, tools, and machinery in a clean and serviceable condition, reporting faults promptly, and adhering to safe work practices.




The successful applicant will ideally display effective communication skills, be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff and external stakeholders and be able to work unsupervised, with the ability to identify and recognise work that is required to be completed. Applicants that are well organised, have attention to detail, a positive outlook and be a team player are highly desired.
