About The Role
Conveniently located in Strathnairn, one of Belconnen's newest and fastest-growing communities, we are after an Early Childhood Teacher, you will lead the delivery of high-quality educational programs that inspire children's curiosity, learning and development. Working closely with the Educational Leader, Lead Educators and Centre Director, you will guide and mentor educators to plan, implement and evaluate engaging play-based programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard (NQS). You will create safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environments that promote children's agency, wellbeing and individual development, while maintaining meaningful documentation of learning and contributing to the Centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). This role is also responsible for fostering strong partnerships with families, mentoring and supporting educators, maintaining high standards of health, safety and compliance, and championing continuous improvement to ensure every child receives the highest quality early learning experience.
What You'll Bring
Holds an ACECQA-recognised Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education,
or an equivalent approved qualification; or
Holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and has completed a minimum of 50% of an ACECQA-recognised Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education, or an equivalent approved qualification; or
Is currently enrolled in and actively working towards completing an ACECQA-recognised Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Holds current registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI), or is eligible to obtain registration prior to commencement
Do Food Safely certificate, or willingness to obtain.
Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain.
Foundations of Child Safety Training or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
ACT Government - Keeping Children and Young People Safe training or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
Current Paid ACT Working With Vulnerable People card (WWVP) or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
