About the role
POWINS Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and energetic
Workshop & Store Assistant
to join our team in Forrestdale, WA. This is a
full-time position
that plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our warehouse, storage and distribution facilities. You will be instrumental in maintaining our workshop and storage areas, ensuring inventory is well-organised, and supporting our team with day-to-day operational tasks. This position offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in a fast-paced logistics and warehousing environment whilst contributing directly to the efficiency of our operations.
Key responsibilities
Maintaining cleanliness, organisation and safety standards within the workshop and storage areas
Receiving, checking and storing incoming inventory according to established procedures
Assisting with picking and packing orders for dispatch to customers
Operating warehouse equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, including forklifts where appropriately trained
Conducting regular stock checks and assisting with inventory management systems
Supporting the maintenance of workshop tools and equipment
Loading and unloading vehicles and materials as required
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company protocols
Reporting any damaged goods, discrepancies or safety concerns to management
Contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting colleagues as needed
What we're looking for
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly, including lifting and carrying items
Reliability and strong attendance record with a commitment to punctuality
Basic numeracy and literacy skills for recording inventory and documentation




Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly
Experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment, or similar role (preferred but not essential)
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (desirable)
Health and Safety awareness and commitment to working safely at all times
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Attention to detail and organisational skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
