Job Description
About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join their busy kitchen team in the heart of Mandurah. Located on the beautiful Mandurah Foreshore, our client is a well-established family-owned café and bar renowned for its Modern Australian Fusion cuisine, artisan coffee, local wines, craft beers and exceptional customer experiences.
Operating from breakfast through to dinner, they are committed to producing fresh, high-quality food while maintaining a supportive and professional workplace. Working closely with the Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager and General Manager, you will play an integral role in preparing exceptional meals, maintaining high kitchen standards and contributing to the continued success of their busy kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
Assist with seasonal menu development and daily or weekly specials.
Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation.
Work across all kitchen sections.
Support daily kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Supervise cooks and kitchen assistants when required.
Monitor food quality and stock rotation.
Assist with stock ordering and inventory control.
Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.




Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Essential Requirements
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent) is highly regarded.
Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Chef.
Robust knowledge of cooking techniques and food presentation.
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Reliable, motivated and a strong team player.
What's on Offer
Salary of $80,000–$90,000 plus superannuation (depending on experience).
Approximately 8-hour shifts with a mix of day and evening work.
