The Position
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a qualified Auto Electrician to join our team based at our Northern Beaches workshop in Mackay.
Working across both our workshop and local field service operations, you'll carry out diagnostics, servicing and repairs on a broad range of equipment, including both the Vassallo Group fleet and customer-owned machinery. This includes light vehicles, highway trucks, quarry processing equipment, earthmoving machinery and civil construction plant.
Whether you're fault-finding on a customer truck, maintaining heavy equipment for one of our civil projects or completing workshop repairs, you'll enjoy genuine variety while being part of a skilled and supportive maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, maintain and repair electrical systems on both Vassallo Group fleet assets and customer-owned light vehicles, highway trucks, quarry processing equipment, earthmoving machinery and civil construction plant
Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using sound fault-finding techniques and diagnostic equipment
Install, repair and maintain electrical components, wiring, lighting, starting and charging systems, and associated accessories
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Maintain accurate service records and complete required maintenance documentation
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure equipment is available to support operational requirements
Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies, procedures and safe work practices
Qualifications & Key Attributes
We are looking for someone who has:
Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician
Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience maintaining and repairing light vehicles, highway trucks, quarry processing equipment, earthmoving machinery and/or civil construction plant
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A current Australian Driver Licence with the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
Applicants who hold a Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology will be highly regarded
