About Us
Polymetals (ASX: POL) acquired the Endeavor Mine in **** and formally took control in August ****. Endeavor is a major underground silver/lead/zinc mine, located 40km north-west of Cobar in Central-West NSW. Since then, Polymetals has delivered an initial 10-year mine plan, secured a US $20million (A$30million) loan facility, have restarted mining operations in early **** and begun 24/7 concentrate production. It's an exciting time for Endeavor and the Cobar region, with significant employment opportunities now coming to market for the Endeavor Mine restart: one of Australia's major base metals mines.
This appointment forms part of the site's senior technical leadership team and presents an opportunity to play a key role in shaping mine planning, technical governance, and operational delivery within a growing underground operation.
The Role
As the Technical Services Superintendent, you will lead the technical integrity, planning and engineering governance of the underground operation as the site continues to ramp up production.
You will be responsible for ensuring technical systems, standards and plans support safe, efficient and commercially sustainable outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Provide statutory leadership support under the NSW Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations, with progression toward NSW or WA Mine Engineering Manager / First Class appointment.
Lead the Technical Services function including mine planning, scheduling, geotechnical, survey, mine geology and drill & blast support.
Own the short, medium, and long-term underground mine plans, ensuring they are robust, compliant, and operationally achievable.
Ensure technical standards,
systems, and processes support safe, efficient, and cost-effective production outcomes.
Work closely with underground mining operations to align planning with execution and improve plan compliance.
Provide technical input into production forecasts, budgets, and life-of-mine planning
Develop and mentor a capable technical services team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Support operational decision-making through accurate reporting, reconciliation, and data-driven insights.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Ideally actively progressing toward a NSW or WA Mine Engineering Manager Practising / First Class Certificate.
Degree qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong underground mining technical experience in hard rock operations.
Working knowledge of mining legislation, technical compliance, and risk management.
Proven mine planning, scheduling and operational support experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and operational teams.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset suited to a restart and ramp-up operation.
